Summary

A Tier 3 NOC/ Field Technician at Vive Communications serves as a direct point of contact for most customer and service interaction. This interaction includes receiving and resolving customer requests via phone, e-mail and the internal ticket system, escalating alerts to appropriate personnel.

Job Requirements:

Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to the following direct sales activities:

  • Acting as a liaison between customers/providers for Vive Communications’ carrier services customers and working to resolve network problems and testing with customers.
  • Escalate and communicate customer issues with Vive Management and Administration, i.e. project Manager and dedicated account manager.
  • Troubleshoot various customer issues or questions, or issues our client is requesting a provider to take action on.
  • Respond to customer requests and provide consistent communication as defined by our client policy.
  • Interact with Customers on a daily basis; opening tickets and performing follow up with external organizations on customer and other related issues.
  • As a team member, work to meet or exceed service level targets as defined in ticket handling procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Solve or document and further escalate issues as needed.
  • Update and create internal documentation.
  • Maintaining Avaya, Shoretel and Mitel Voice and Data Networking Sales Certifications.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers. Attends customer installations and collaborates with Vive technical personnel as required.
  • Attends meetings and training sessions as directed.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written formats with Vive employees, Customers and Manufacture Software Support Specialists

 

Technical Requirements:

Ability to install Avaya IP Office Server Edition, VM Pro, Essential and Basic edition. Detailed knowledge of Structured Cabling including installation, reading prints. Advanced MAC work on Server Edition, IP Office, VM Pro, Essential edition and Basic Mode, to include multi-layer AA, complex call routing including SCN and LCR, Queuing, Avaya One X product suite, Ability to Implement and trouble shoot of CO lines PRI, SIP.  Advanced understanding of network connectivity including DHCP, MPLS, VLANS, and VPN. Including Multi site deployments with Fail over.  Ability to Configure Server Edition and implement VM PRO applications in Virtual environments. Implementation of Avaya One X product suite. Ability to trouble shoot basic server issues.  Ability to train end users and administrative training of advanced applications. Ability to install and basic Trouble shooting of Data products i.e. network switches Firewalls. Install IP Phone deployments. Additional Technical Requirements for Shoretel, Mitel and Vive Hosted Offerings may apply at a later date.

 

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent experience
  • Minimum two (2) plus years of Business To Business experience
  • Experience within Business Communications and/or Telecommunications experience is a requirement.
    • AVAYA, Cisco, ShoreTel and or Mitel IP Telephony
    • Small and Medium Sized Enterprise Business Systems (2 – 3,000 users at a single site above and beyond with multi-site accounts.)
